As a Traffic Controller / Banksman you will be responsible for:
• Act as the first point of escalation – Transport Office / Goods In or Warehouse.
• Supervise: Deigning, laying out, and managing safe on-site traffic systems, including designated vehicle routes, speed limits, and parking/loading areas, to ensure efficient flow and prevent congestion.
• Directing the movement of heavy good vehicles (HGVs), lorries, cranes and other plant machinery in and around the site, particularly during complex manoeuvres like reversing and turning.
• Ensure that all arrival and departure procedures are followed by all drivers.
• Documentation: Monitoring site entrances and exits, potentially keeping a log of incoming and outgoing vehicles and deliveries.
• Running of all the AMCO UKTransport contracts.
• Assist the senior in the day-to-day activities and running of the department.
• Be responsible for the day-to-day running and the team of drivers.
• Customer KPI’s.
• Departmental KPI’s.
• Ensure vehicles and trailers are presented on time for maintenance and servicing.
• Log damages and defects along with actioning the defects.
• Supporting head of compliance, always keeping staff, vehicles and trailers compliant.
• Vehicle gatehouse checks to auditing the process of vehicles.
• Booking of Agency drivers.
• Day to day customer service.
• Ensure customers are kept up to date when issues arise.
• Track transport through webfleet
• Invoicing completed in a timely manner.
• Cover for holidays.
• Updating individual training matrix with line manager
• Ensure internal and external KPI’s are updated weekly.
• Issues are logged on the system.
• Manage 3rd party suppliers on day-to-day basis.
• Manage fuel cards and adblue draw downs.
• Support departmental projects and companywide projects.
• Will require Banksman training.
