We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Lead to manage our UK warehouse operations within a small, fast-paced team. Working alongside one Warehouse Operative, this is a varied role combining warehouse management, stock control, shipping, and equipment calibration/configuration.
This is not just a picking/packing role — you’ll take full ownership of the warehouse and drive efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations and inventory
- Receive, check, store, pick, pack, and dispatch goods
- Process shipments using courier systems and ERP
- Maintain accurate stock levels and perform cycle counts
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Organise warehouse layout and improve processes (FIFO, efficiency)
- Carry out product configuration, software updates, and re-calibration
- Handle returns (RMA) and kitting/assembly tasks
- Ensure H&S standards and warehouse housekeeping
- Manage and support one direct report
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience leading a warehouse (SME preferred)
- Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations (goods in/out, shipping, stock control)
- Experience with stock counts and inventory accuracy
- Comfortable using warehouse equipment (pallet truck, scales, etc.)
- Strong organisation and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and team collaboration
- Basic technical/electronics understanding (for calibration/configuration)
Desirable
- Lean / continuous improvement experience
- QMS (Quality Management Systems) experience
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Lithium-ion shipping knowledge (UN3480/81)
