Electronics & Optical Test Technician (Entry-Level)

Location: Rockaway

Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm

Pay: $20–$23/hour

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, curious Electronics & Optical Test Technician to join our production team. This is an entry-level role with structured training, where you’ll start with the basics and progress into more complex electronic and optical testing work. If you enjoy working with real hardware, solving problems, and learning technical skills on the job — this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

• Test and troubleshoot PCB assemblies (electronic and optical)
• Read schematics and work with electronic components
• Support fusion splicing and optical testing
• Load firmware/software onto systems
• Identify faults and help resolve issues
• Complete quality checks and documentation
• Collaborate with production, service, and R&D teams

You’ll be trained step-by-step, with increasing responsibility as your skills grow.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Basic understanding of electronics or circuitry
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have:

• Internship or hands-on experience in electronics or electro-optics
• Soldering experience (especially surface mount)
• Familiarity with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, optical tools)
• Interest in fiber optics or manufacturing
