International Channel Manager

We’re thrilled that you’re interested in joining the British Board of Agrément. The BBA is looking to hire an International Channel Manager to join our Sales team.

Role Purpose:

  • The International Channel Manager will be a pivotal figure in delivering BBA’s International Commercial Strategy.
  • This role combines strategic business growth, commercial sales, key account leadership and international representation to position BBA as a globally recognised certification authority.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Generating £2 million in annual international sales (phased growth
  • Supporting BBA’s corporate objectives and financial targets
  • Leading key account expansion, particularly for clients with international footprints
  • Acting as a global ambassador for BBA’s values, reputation, and strategic partnerships
  • Identifying strategic investment partners and engaging them alongside the management team
  • Supporting the delivery of training and relationship-building activities with certification and accreditation bodies in target international markets
  • Enable mutual recognition agreements in target international markets for BBA’s certification (in particular Agrément and HAPAS)

Key Responsibilities in more detail:

1. Strategic International Expansion & Sales

  • Implement and execute BBA’s International Commercial Strategy across priority markets.
  • Achieve phased annual sales targets of £2 million, and contribute to BBA’s corporate targets.
  • Lead international market scoping, service localisation, local collaborations and international partnerships.

2. International Key Account Development

  • Work in collaboration with UK-based Head of Strategic Sales to expand international revenue from existing major clients.
  • Build deeper strategic relationships across global supply chains by coordinating multi-country certification service offerings and regulatory compliance.
  • Work with Head of Strategic Sales to target critical organisations as part of the BBA’s larger Key Account Management role.

3. International Ambassadorial Role

  • Serve as an ambassador for BBA in international markets, representing the organisation’s core values of outcomes obsessed, standard setters, rounded experts.
  • Build visibility and credibility with local regulators, trade bodies, standards agencies, and construction stakeholders.
  • Strengthen relationship with UK government in international trade, and engage with British Embassy and/or Consulate Offices in the target countries (where appropriate).

4. Mutual Recognition & Accreditation Strategy

  • Develop and maintain relationships with overseas certification and accreditation bodies, with a focus on establishing mutual recognition agreements and collaborations.

5. Training & Capacity Building

  • Promote the delivery of training programs and workshops (eg. CPD) for international key accounts and local certifiers/standards/accreditation bodies.
  • Strengthen technical collaboration and trust with target partners through shared learning and regulatory knowledge exchange. 6. Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Report regularly on international commercial performance, KPIs, and ROI to the Sales & Marketing Director, Head of Strategic Sales and Head of Operational Sales
  • Prepare business cases, board presentations, market-entry reports, and any special tasks that supports for the Sales & Marketing Director (as and when required).

6. Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Report regularly on international commercial performance, KPIs, and ROI to the Sales & Marketing Director, Head of Strategic Sales and Head of Operational Sales
  • Prepare business cases, board presentations, market-entry reports, and any special tasks that supports for the Sales & Marketing Director (as and when required).
