Join Our Finance Team
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our busy finance team within a fast-paced construction environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting skills while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our finance function.
The Role
As a Finance Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the finance department through accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. You’ll work closely with procurement and operational teams to ensure the seamless flow of financial information across multiple construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts email inbox, ensuring invoices and queries are dealt with promptly
- Process high volumes of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and correct coding
- Match invoices to purchase orders and Goods Received Notes (GRNs)
- Assist with the processing of GRNs through the company’s intranet
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies by liaising with buying and site teams
- Process plant and hire invoices, ensuring correct allocation to projects and cost codes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records
- Ensure invoices are approved and processed within required timescales
- File and maintain organised financial documentation
- Support month-end activities, ensuring all invoices are accounted for
- Assist with general finance and administrative duties as required
About You
- Basic knowledge of accounting or finance (AAT or similar qualification desirable)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Previous experience using finance ERP systems (COINS desirable)
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with internal teams and suppliers
- Organised, proactive, and enthusiastic about learning and development
