Bethell is expanding, and we are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Planner to join our Planning team. This role will be pivotal in supporting the wider business across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

What you’ll be doing
- Developing detailed project programmes from first principles using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Supporting tender submissions with accurate, logical and contract-compliant programmes.
- Tracking, updating and reporting on live project programmes, including EoT and NEC Clause 62 assessments.
- Working collaboratively with project teams, subcontractors and clients to monitor progress and address risks and opportunities.
- Challenging, advising and guiding internal teams to ensure a shared understanding of programme ownership.
- Ensuring all programmes reflect safe working practices, sufficient mobilisation time and efficient resource allocation.
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and contributing to delivery strategies.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years in a planning role and 10+ years in the civil engineering/construction sector
- Civil Engineering qualifications (HND or similar) and experience in highways, structures or water infrastructure are desirable
- Strong experience in P6 and Microsoft Project
- Ability to interpret drawings/specifications and build accurate programmes
- Understanding of NEC contracts, CDM regulations and temporary works
- A proactive, analytical and collaborative approach
- Confident communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Full UK driving licence
